More Djinns less problems. It seems pretty evident if you go back and check what I already posted from the brand hailing from Mülheim an der Ruhr. We started with a state of the art 5 panel cap, then we checked a pair of lifestyle boots with a lot of flavor and the third item we saw was an extra long beanie sherpa lined. Let’s stay in beanies zone, then. Isn’t it winter?!
This Turn Up Spotted Left beanie is giving us Djinns version of the folded beanie with a woven label that seems to be very en vogue in these last seasons. I gotta say that such a version puts a lot of creativity in a field where apparently there is not much room for innovation. Apparently. The jacquard craftsmanship here has the vibe of a knitted piece. An OG one, like those crafted by your grandma sitting on the sofa, especially considering that fold with a reverse jacquard craftsmanship. This feeling is also increased by the dotted thread that has a strong vintage connotation. To make this beanie sharp and contemporary Djinns relied on the branding.
Check closely these pictures of Serenella M and you will see how that double woven label with a raw cut that states the date of birth of this German brand makes the difference. The icing on the cake is represented by the laser cut leather tab on the back that we already saw on the Filthy Rip Oversized beanie.
So next time you hear somebody saying “it’s just a beanie” you know that your friend never wore a Djinns beanie in his life
