You know well ’47 by now but what do you know about the premium technical winter apparel 686? Born as a school project of the young Michael Akira West, the more the thing developed the more he felt intrigued by its actual possibilities. Excited but most of all focused on his mission, West gives life to 686 in 1992 and never stopped delivering excellence ever since. I first heard about this collaboration when my rep friend told me: “Max, I’ve seen the new 686 catalog and you won’t believe it: they did a collabo with ’47”. It was evident while I was telling you about the Black Fives collaboration: the love of ’47 for knowledge and history of sports is strong. It was only right that these two companies that share passion and a high level of quality as common ground joined forces in order to create an extended capsule of winter and outerwear items. 14 universities came into play to be represented on garments that will protect you from harsh winter conditions, ready to let you move in absolute freedom when you snowboard, thanks to its standard fit. These pictures display Vermont Catamounts Victory Insulated jacket together with the Wisconsin Badgers Rodeo Cuff beanie. I let the tech sheet do the talking about its many features of this top of range item but I have to tell you that its waterproof factor is infiDRY® 10, which means that you have a 10,000 mm waterproof and 8,000 gm breathable fabric. The beanie is representing Wisconsin Badgers colors and have a couple of strategically placed woven labels to state its identity. This is how ’47 operates: opening new perspectives on sportswear.
