Pharrell Williams is a modern day Leonardo Da Vinci. Unlike Kanye West in his full “attention whore” syndrome, Pharrell moves without Twitter rants, socialite wife and gigantic ego trips. Also known as Skateboard P, the man that was once caught up in ads involving actual skateboarding is now focusing on great music, endorsement deals and the acquisition of a denim brand. All this happens contextually to the re-acquisition of the apparel brand that he founded in 2008: Billionaire Boys Club. In this collaboration with Happy Socks, Sweden grandmaster of smile inducing socks, he created this Box Set with three patterns designed originally by Sk8thing, the Japanese artist that laid the foundation of the brand, graphically speaking. You don’t get labeled a genius to put out average product so this collaboration went the extra mile to get your attention. Check the packaging in Henriett N hands to see what I am talking about: a holographic print on white card box. Open up and you will have an hard time choosing among Classic Helmet, Diamond and Dollar, and Starfield designs. As soon as I saw these socks I thought that the best way to make these shine is to wear them with shorts in an outfit that shows no other logo or pattern. The only danger when you wear these socks sent by Blue Distribution (Happy socks distributor) is that modern day Giocondas will stare at you but this time with a happy smile. Well, I think that this is a risk that you can take. Check more Happy Socks on Blakshop and send them an email to cop this box. Pictures courtesy of O’Graph.
