A couple of weeks ago I was headed to Pitti Immagine, the most important Italian fashion tradeshow. In case you did not know this event is home to Pitti Peacocks so, beside being an important meeting place, everything goes as far as outfits out of control. If you dress to impress you are going to have an hard time there. So I wanted to dare a bit as far as choice of kicks. I opted to wear my Inspector Rupert shoes in their pink colorway and I definitely gained some attention with this pair of sneakerboots by Boom Bap. Recently I had the chance to tell you about this brand that from ill denim pants to clean lifestyle sneakers never stops delivering quality pieces. With these Inspector Rupert it’s no exception. Handmade sewed in Portugal with a Native American inspired style, these sneakers in the hands of Beatrice C surprise you from the start because of their super smooth suede. The TPR non slip outsole is far from being good only if you sit in front of your teepee, smoking peace pipes: it’s ready for action. I walked all day at Pitti, no problem. When I was ready to go to dinner I posted a picture on Facebook of how sick these shoes are and I had positive reactions from sneakers connoisseurs and style experts that asked me if I was wearing this brand or that brand. No: my kicks come out at a reasonable price and look good in pink (but there are five more colorways available). Looking more fly than a Pitti Peacock: done. Pictures courtesy of Maurizio Milesi.
