When workwear represents a brilliant solution to wear in your leisure time then we must be talking about Dickies. The brand born in Texas is probably the most seasoned veteran when we give a look to what is available in streetwear shops. As a matter of fact Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company was born in 1922, to provide rugged and durable apparel for the workers that built America.
Fast forward to our days to see a general resurgence of workwear as one of the most genuine forms of streetwear and then you can easily understand why I defined Dickies a “brilliant solution”. With its excellent quality / price rate and a general timeless appeal of its collections it is only right that such brand deserves the spot it has earned in the sharpest street shops.
Newbern jacket represents the current evolution of Dickies that envisioned a lifestyle approach to workwear. This Dijon colorway is one of the two available together with Dark Olive option. I picked this one here worn by Desire C because I felt the mustard yellow vibe more but both colorways were very tempting.
It’s a visual celebration of the 90s aesthetics that wants logos to be large and color blocking winking an eye to nautical wear for the utmost visibility on a boat just like in the streets.
It’s a 1.000 MM wind and water resistant anorak made of 100% polyamide taslon oxford / PU coating. Think of a situation where you don’t need a Winter jacket but still you need protection. How about wearing this in your next skate session?
Check how details come into play with its draw cord internal hem adjusters made of leather with a laser etched state-of-the-art branding. Further proof that Dickies didn’t earned its worldwide status on gimmicks but with actual quality and smart design. The best way to check what this brand has to offer is to browse Dickies section on Blakshop. That is always a brilliant solution…
