Etnies x Magenta skateboards – Leads jacket

Shall I start explaining you what skateboarders call “quick feet” style? Or maybe you find interesting to know that there are two brands here both involved with skateboarding on two different levels: one deals with footwear while the business of the other is skate decks but both have French founders. How about the fascination of these brands with Japan? I couldn’t talk about all the above without including in my thoughts the fact that Japanese people have an unusual relationship with streetwear: nobody can even come close to their style. Take the love for street skateboarding to the next level and forget tech skating: here the deal is searching for obscure spots that nobody is able to skate. Magenta represents the perspective on skateboarding by Vivien Feil and Soy Panday, two Paris skate rats that wanted to explore the boundaries of what is possible to do on a skateboard with a unique style. Etnies, forever related to skateboarding, had to recognize such style and having a rider from Japan in common with Magenta sparked the idea of this collaboration. Koichiro Uehara is from Osaka and he loves to skate the concrete jungle with his… quick feet. Leads jacket, part of this collaboration, is made of bleached denim with a pattern and a cut that shows homage to Japanese tradition. A special mention goes out to its extra long and smooth collar but I gotta warn you: this is such a limited edition that, beside this one that Selda P is wearing, it’s impossible to find in Italian shops.
