Hoka One One x Engineered Garments ● Bondi B

Sometimes it happens that reliable brands struggle to get their name known, while others can count on a word of mouth that is way more effective than Instagram sponsored content.

Some brands may get in touch with a very expensive celebrity or athlete to endorse its items but nothing beats the good ole “have you heard of…?” rather than “did you try…?”. So it went for me with these incredible sneakers called Hoka One One.

I have a friend that works in an high end fashion store and he started telling me about this new brand that is making a buzz. Then I work as a copywriter for Move and… Hoka One One is part of our proposal for a couple of seasons now. Fast forward to the latest Pitti Immagine where I saw Hoka One One booth and I had no more doubts left: this brand needed our attention.

Created by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, two French designers with a progressive vision, Hoka items are what you can identify as maximal sneakers. Take note that their path started in 2009, during a period where minimal design was at its apex in sneakers world.

Technically advanced, lightweight and chunky as you want them to be, these shoes whose name stands for “fly over the earth” in Maori language, really need to be tried.

This Bondi B is the result of the collaboration with Engineered Garments. A brand from New York whose approach to high fashion very meticulous and visionary is similar to Hoka, this is a capsule whose logic makes sense.

With its uber light sandwich mesh, you have a stable structure that you would not expect from mesh. In this way you keep breathability at an ideal level, while its CMEVA midsole gives you premium comfort and a pleasant bouncy feeling.

Don’t like these bright colors? No problem. These chunky sneakers are also available in monochrome black and also white. Artcrafts is Hoka One One distributor and, now that you know, it’s time for you to fly over to the nearest shop that carries Hoka.
Or better yet, cop them online from Paragon
