I cannot start to write about this cap without following a simple mental scheme: baseball bap, burgundy camouflage, camouflage and then those bars from RZA from “4th Chamber” come to mind, fitting the news more than ever: “Aiyo, camouflage chameleon, ninjas scaling your building/No time to grab the gun, they already got your wife and children”. I say so because here the camouflage changed color.
Even if the design matches woodland camo to the fullest, here we have no green, brown and black but rather burgundy, red and dark brown. It’s a trend that started a couple of seasons ago when we started to see patterns of this kind but in yellow, pink, blue and purple. First on pants then everywhere, from tanks to M65 jackets.
Today this colorful pattern is displaying its full potential on Ambush Baseball cap, a creation by Upfront, the brand specialized in fresh street headwear based in Copenhagen. With the same intertwined 3D logo that we first saw on Mush Snapback than later on we even saw it on Aruba Snapback among all the palms of its allover print, this cap carries on tradition.
A tradition made of crispy styles season after season, generated by the passion of two DJ founders that saw an opportunity from their need to rock unique caps when in the booth at the club.
From these pictures of Michela P it ain’t hard to tell that Ambush has a shape ready for the times we are in. A wrapping crown paired with a curved visor are ready to hit the streets or the clubs and get crazy love for the flavor it brings. You would better rock this item with an outfit that can keep up with its potential but I don’t have suggestions here: put your creativity to a test, anything goes. The whole Upfront collection is available online to inspire new original outfits: it’s the simplest mental scheme ever!
