Our saturday rendez-vous with Boma Agency continues. The distributor of many successful streetwear brands is here once again to let you check out one of the pieces belonging to Urban Classics collection. Today we are feasting our eyes on this long sleeve tee called Spray Dye Henley L/S Tee TB479 worn by Anna B. Are you familiar with the word “henley”? Basically it’s a very versatile piece that ranks among a t-shirt and a polo shirt with a little placket beneath the round neckline, where there are a few buttons (4 in our case). Its name comes from a team of rowers from the UK that wore this piece and they were living in Henley-on-Thames, hence the name of this garment. In the States they use henleys a lot, especially thermals, that European public is not crazy about. This is made with t-shirt fabric and what makes it unique is its dying. It’s sprayed directly on the t-shirt producing a vintage effect on every stitching and also where the buttons are, like it shows in first picture. Wash it to see this garment fade like a denim does and you will feel it your own after a while. We are looking at the denim blue color but there are five more available. Make sure to wear it with your shorts or with your chino pants but not with a denim: you will make it stand out more in your outfit. Effortless style from the moment you step out your door to when you slip out of your henley at the end of the day.
